Leila Baktash

Leila obtained her MA in Applied Statistics from the University of Malaya in 2017. She also earned her MEd in Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Methodology from the University of British Columbia in 2024.  During her study, she applied various methodological approaches in educational, psychological, health, and social contexts. In 2022, she started working as a Statistician Research Assistant at Educational Studies Department, and gained hands-on experience in applying advanced statistical and methodological techniques in a comprehensive project on School Principals` Well-being supported by the Humanities and Social Science Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Since, her primary interest was on working within the Health Departments, she joined the Implantable Biosensing Laboratory (IBL) in January 2024 as Biostatistician Research Assistant. In this position, she contributes to the laboratory’s research data analysis and advise on methodological and analytical approaches.
